ABYC Announces Agenda
For Upcoming Symposium

The American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) has unveiled the comprehensive agenda for its sixth Marine Law Symposium, scheduled to start in one month on Feb. 29, 2024. This event, available in-person in Annapolis or online, offers a hybrid participation format.
Developed for marine industry professionals such as surveyors, manufacturers, insurance agents, lawyers, and compliance officers, this year’s symposium covers a broad spectrum of pertinent topics.

2024 Northern California Pacific Sail & Power Boat Show

The California Yacht Brokers Association (CYBA) is excited to announce the return of the Pacific Sail & Power Boat Show, May 16 - 19, 2024.
Now in their second year as owners and producers of the show, the CYBA returns the show to the widely acclaimed venue at Westpoint Harbor in Redwood City, California. Westpoint Harbor is the newest full-service yacht harbor in Northern California, located in the southern area of the San Francisco Bay in the heart of Silicon Valley. The venue this year will expand to include more docking opportunities as well as additional on-land booth and display areas overlooking the marina.

With collective member participation, the YBAA Member Listing Service (MLS) provides increased exposure for the listing broker and access to a broader range of inventory. The MLS allows brokers access to cooperative broker listings with the goal of connecting buyers and sellers.
As an exclusive benefit, YBAA members can publish a listing at no cost.

Follow These Basics to Ensure Yacht Sales Success
| John Wooden, perhaps the best college basketball coach ever, used to start each season by showing players how to properly put on their socks and sneakers as a mistake here could ‘domino-effect’ its way all the way to lost games. Vince Lombardi, the great Green Bay Packers coach, once said that football basically comes down to two things: blocking on offense and tackling on defense, and those great Packer teams spent 80% of their time practicing those two basics. Red Auerbach, who coached the Boston Celtics to eight consecutive championships, is known for having players practice basic shots like layups and free-throws over and over and over again. Wooden, Lombardi, Auerbach, and all other great coaches have always known that mastery of the basics was the best way to ensure success. |
